Abstract
This article outlines a proposal for a “Violence-Free Business Quality Seal” aimed at recognizing organizations that make verifiable commitments to addressing sexual harassment in the workplace in Peru. The study employs an applied qualitative design that combines a review of national and international regulatory frameworks with an analysis of institutional documents and prior experiences with corporate social responsibility certification. Drawing on these inputs, a model is articulated around three interrelated dimensions: a prevention dimension, focused on internal policies and training initiatives; an intervention dimension, centered on reporting and response procedures; and a mitigation-monitoring dimension, oriented towards victim support and the continuous improvement of management practices. Each dimension is operationalized through criteria, indicators, and weighted indicators that enable the assessment of companies across five phases: application, document review, participatory audit, issuance of the decision, and periodic monitoring. The findings indicate that the seal operates as a self?regulatory mechanism aligned with ILO Convention 190 and Peruvian regulations, helping to translate the principles of gender equality and decent work into concrete organizational practices. Furthermore, the proposal opens up the possibility of linking compliance with these standards to reputational incentives and, in a subsequent stage, to advantages in hiring processes and public recognition, thereby reinforcing corporate commitment to eradicating sexual harassment in the workplace.
