Abstract

This research proposes a comparative analysis of museums in Bogota from a constructive perspective to analyze the learning of tourist and cultural perspectives from the approach of logistical and administrative processes of the most recognized museums to the less recognized ones. Objective: To analyze and compare the cultural and tourist contribution of museums in Bogota that contribute to the national heritage, identifying their similarities and differences in aspects of quality, technology, accessibility and service, generating impact on the community, in order to evaluate their role in the preservation of heritage and their influence on cultural and tourist development. Method: This study is framed within a participatory qualitative approach with a comparative analysis design among the museums of Bogotá in terms of their cultural and touristic contribution. Results: Museums in Bogota contribute to the cultural heritage and history of the country, it should be noted that museums have a greater diversity of collections with a more developed infrastructure and usually have much more visibility compared to museums in the rest of the country. However, many of these museums are hidden or with a little-known tour quality, which allows the tourist plan of the museums to be reflected in only a few. Conclusion and Discussion: The thematic diversity of the capital's museums reflects its cultural richness and responds to educational, social and tourism interests, although many of these categories stand out for their visibility, others require support to strengthen their impact and sustainability, given that the tourism potential of many museums remains underutilized and this limits the possibility of positioning Bogota as a culturally active and diverse city.
